What You Will Be Working On
About the Competency‑Driven Growth Office (CDGO) in PSD
CDGO is a programme office that drives the Public Service’s shift towards Competency‑Driven Growth (CDG), a framework that anchors workforce development, career growth, and people decisions on competencies (skills, knowledge, and behaviours).
CDGO works closely with PSD Clusters and HR Leaders (HRLs) in agencies across the public service to drive the CDG priorities. As a CDGO Intern, you will be part of a small, agile team working at the intersection of policy design, operations and data.
What you will work on
1. CDG Pulse Survey. The CDG Pulse is an annual survey that measures the progress of CDG adoption and collect feedback from officers and HR teams. This year, it will be administered centrally using Engagement System 2.0 and FormSG. You will support the implementation of the 2026 CDG Pulse 2026 and analyze survey responses from civil service officers and HR practitioners to uncover insights that will shape CDGO’s focus for the coming year.
2. CDG Dashboards. The CDG Dashboards workstream is key to unlocking the value of competency data. You will shape the dashboards that will allow agencies to better understand competency gaps and make informed workforce decisions. You should be familiar with Microsoft Excel; any experience using Tableau is a plus.
3. Stakeholder Engagement. This programme office coordinates efforts amongst internal stakeholders, and meets with external agencies. By supporting the team at various engagement platforms, you will learn to manage stakeholders effectively. Your familiarity with Microsoft Word ad Microsoft Powerpoint, and ability able to write coherently will serve you.
