Data / ML Engineering Software Intern CareCam · Singapore · Starting Aug 2026 (full-time preferred; part-time considered) About CareCam CareCam is a clinical AI startup building tools that help clinicians assess, monitor, and rehabilitate patients using computer vision and mobility analysis. Our products are deployed across major Singapore hospitals and are expanding into international clinical trials. We move fast, care deeply about clinical rigour, and give interns real ownership of work that ends up in hospital settings. The Role You'll sit with our product and engineering team and own work across two areas: clinical data pipelines & ML (your primary focus) and clinical research operations . You'll also help test and debug our iOS app in Xcode light, hands-on QA rather than feature development. This is a builder's role. You'll write real Python, work with real clinical datasets (video, image, and gait data), and see your work move from algorithm to deployment. Rough time split: ~60% data/ML, ~20% research ops, ~20% iOS testing. What You'll Do Data Pipelines & ML (primary) Process, clean, and analyse video, image, and gait data Build and maintain data pipelines in Python Support training, evaluation, and deployment of computer-vision / pose-estimation models Generate reports and visualisations for clinical and product stakeholders Clinical Research Operations Support clinical data collection with our hospital partners Coordinate collection logistics and run data quality checks Work within clinical data-governance practices (PDPA, IRB protocols) iOS Testing & Debugging Test app builds in Xcode and reproduce / report issues Help debug and verify ML model integration in the mobile pipeline Contribute to test coverage and documentation What We're Looking For Must-have Strong Python for data processing, scripting, and analysis Hands-on experience with pandas and numpy Comfort working with messy, real-world data Nice-to-have SQL Exposure to computer vision, pose estimation, or biomechanics Familiarity with Xcode / iOS for testing and debugging (or willingness to learn quickly) Prior clinical-research or healthcare-data experience You are Year 3/4 undergrad, fresh grad, or postgrad in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Data Science, or a related field A clear communicator who can work independently in a small team What You'll Get Your code deployed in real Singapore hospital settings.
