AI Engineering Intern

Purpose of the role: You sit in We. Studio, building the AI infrastructure that powers the agency day to day: memory systems, workflows, integrations, internal tools. You don't just automate tasks — you work with team leads to redesign how their teams use AI in their everyday work. RESPONSIBILITIES: Build and refine the AI memory systems that let our tools retain context and institutional knowledge over time Help revamp and improve our existing AI workflows Advise on and improve our existing AI toolstack: model integrations and API connections Partner with team leads and agency leadership on workflow redesign, thinking through how AI reshapes roles and processes, not just automates tasks Contribute to internal AI R&D projects Build lightweight internal tools that let teams run multi-step AI workflows end to end QUALIFICATIONS: Studying or recently graduated in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical field Hands-on experience building with LLMs directly via API/SDK: agents, prompt engineering, or automation workflows (coursework, personal projects, or hackathons all count). Direct API experience counts for more here than framework experience (LangChain and similar) Comfortable picking up new AI tools and frameworks fast Some grasp of usage tracking and cost optimisation for AI/LLM systems, this is core to the role, not a bonus Curious about how AI changes the way people work, not just what AI can technically do Experience with agent frameworks or tool-calling/MCP-style integrations (Good to have) Awareness of AI safety basics: prompt injection, data isolation between contexts (Good to Have) Equal Opportunity: WE provides equal employment opportunity and does not discriminate against an employee or applicant because of age, race, color, religion, gender, national origin, veteran status, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, or other legally protected class status.
