Role Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated AI Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) Intern to join Tencent’s Overseas IT (OIT) AI Compute team in Singapore.
The team serves as a bridge between internal business teams and engineering/vendor teams, helping to understand AI infrastructure and solution requirements, coordinate resources, and drive successful delivery. In this role, you will gain hands-on exposure to AI infrastructure, GPU computing, cloud technologies, AI models, and AI agents, while working with stakeholders across different teams and regions.
This role is ideal for someone who is technically curious, highly communicative, proactive, and passionate about applying AI to solve real-world business and infrastructure challenges.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with internal business teams to understand AI, infrastructure, and technical requirements.
Coordinate with engineering, vendor, and business stakeholders to support effective solution delivery.
Assist with the delivery of AI/GPU infrastructure, cloud, and compute-related solutions.
Support projects throughout the lifecycle, from requirements gathering and implementation to testing and acceptance.
Assist in investigating and coordinating solutions for technical and operational issues.
Develop an understanding of AI models, AI agents, and their practical applications in business and infrastructure environments.
Support technical documentation, project tracking, and knowledge sharing.
Assist in evaluating technical solutions and their suitability for different use cases.
Communicate project requirements, status, issues, and solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Participate in team meetings and knowledge-sharing sessions with regional teams.
Requirements
Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related technical field.
Strong interest in AI/ML, LLMs, and AI agents, with a basic understanding of AI models, their capabilities, limitations, and practical applications.
Basic understanding of cloud computing, networking, Linux, and infrastructure concepts; familiarity with Python or Bash is a plus.
Experience or coursework in AI/ML, LLMs, AI agents, cloud computing, distributed systems, GPU/HPC, or infrastructure is preferred.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and technical judgment skills, with the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work effectively with business teams, engineers, and external vendors in a cross-functional and international environment.
Self-driven, proactive, and accountable, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
