Role Description
This is a full-time, remote AI Research Winter Internship (unpaid role). Interns will support research initiatives focused on applying machine learning and artificial intelligence to supply chain and sourcing challenges. Day-to-day responsibilities may include conducting literature reviews, prototyping models, cleaning and analyzing datasets, and helping design experiments to evaluate AI-driven solutions. Interns will collaborate with senior researchers and engineers, prepare concise documentation of methods and findings, and contribute to internal presentations or reports. The role provides exposure to real-world data, practical AI use cases, and cross-functional teamwork in a global technology context.
Qualifications
Foundational knowledge in machine learning, artificial intelligence, or data science, with coursework or projects in related areas.
Experience with programming languages commonly used in AI research (such as Python) and familiarity with relevant libraries or frameworks (e.g., NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow).
Ability to work with structured and unstructured data, including basic data cleaning, exploratory data analysis, and model evaluation.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with attention to detail and a structured approach to experimentation.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, including clear documentation of research methods, results, and limitations.
High level of self-motivation, reliability, and comfort working independently in a remote environment, while collaborating with a distributed team.
Current enrollment in or recent completion of a degree program in computer science, data science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
Interest in technology, electronics, and supply chain innovation; prior exposure to these domains is a plus but not required.
