    About this internship

About this Position This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in polymer materials, laboratory testing, data analysis, and application engineering within the electronics materials industry. The intern will support the electronics adhesive development program. Working alongside experienced Application Engineers, the intern will contribute to building a comprehensive material properties database for general development materials. The Singapore Application Engineering Laboratory serves as the primary reference laboratory for standardized customer testing methods, providing the intern with hands-on exposure to advanced materials evaluation and real-world product development. What You´ll Do Evaluate the physical and mechanical properties of advanced adhesive materials using industry-standard characterization methods. Perform application engineering tests, including dispensing and jetting performance evaluations. Prepare samples and test coupons, and conduct visual inspections and defect analysis. Carry out mechanical testing (e.g., Die Shear and Pull Testing) and basic reliability assessments to support material development and customer applications. Compile, organize, and analyze experimental data to identify material performance trends and support the development of a material property database. Prepare technical reports, presentation materials, and contribute to project reviews and technical discussions. Support laboratory operations by maintaining a safe, organized environment, following 5S standards, and adhering to laboratory safety and documentation practices. What makes you a good fit Pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Science, or a related discipline.
