    About this internship

    The Asset Management (AM) Intern will support the AM Team in tracking and optimising the performance of the assets within the portfolio, gaining hands-on exposure to hotel owner perspective and operator management. Based in the Singapore Headquarters, the role will provide a wide exposure to a portfolio of hospitality assets across the region, ranging from city hotels to beach-front resorts. The AM Intern will be required to support the analysis and interpretation of various performance metrics both quantitative and qualitative as well as prepare effective presentations and data visualization to deliver clear effective message to senior management. Internship Responsibilities: Performance Analysis & Reporting Assist in preparing monthly performance review materials Maintain financial models and KPI trackers (STR etc.) Update performance dashboards (On-the books etc.) Support in identifying hotel’s performance anomalies (analysing Profit & Loss statements) and draft questions for monthly operator review meetings Support with ad hoc hotel performance reviews Assist in reviewing hotels’ sales & marketing initiatives Support Data Consolidation Process Learn commonly used metrics to measure performance in the industry Consolidate and analyze periodic reports submitted by hotel teams Review and optimize existing data structure and financial models Assess hotel performance and benchmark against relevant indicators Reporting and Stakeholder Management Support in preparing decks and reports to senior management Apply data visualization skills/tools to better deliver effective message Review and optimise existing reports and presentations Interpret data to develop actionable solutions Note-taking of key discussion points during meetings Research and Market Analysis Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks in the industry to support the various strategies within the portfolio Assist with maintaining country market reports Maintain research database (visitor arrivals, CPI index, cap rates etc.) Collate Real Estate Consultant reports Identify new hotel supply for various regions Learning Objectives: Gaining Hospitality Real Estate Industry Knowledge Gaining data analytics skills and insights on asset management strategies Understand profit & loss format (USALI – international recognised format for hotels) Gaining insights on the lifecycle of hotel ownership Learning about the relationship between the hotel owner, operator and hotel teams Expanding knowledge about the hospitality industry in the APAC and Europe region Internship Requirements: Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Real Estate, Business, Finance, or a related discipline Prior internship or relevant work experience will be an advantage Ability to learn quickly, initiative and excel in a fast-paced environment Detailed-oriented, structured, and organised Excellent command of spoken and written English, and strong report-writing capability Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially MS Excel and MS PowerPoint; knowledge of other MS Power tools a plus) Excellent analytical and numeracy skills Internship must be credit-bearing and/or recognised by the educational institution as part of the student's internship programme Available to commit to a full-time internship (5 days per week) for the period of August to December 2026
