    About this internship

    [What the role is] We would like to invite an independent and self-motivated individual who has keen interest in contributing to the growth of a trusted and innovative environment for Singapore’s data economy and society, and the enhancement of Singapore’s international standing as a trusted data hub to join the Data Innovation & Protection Group (DIPG). [What you will be working on] Research emerging technologies, system vulnerabilities, and technology risks relevant to the regulator, including areas such as AI and quantum technologies. Evaluate new technologies, tools, and frameworks to ensure they are safe, reliable, and useful and present and recommend findings to internal teams. Identify, design and build simple prototypes to test or demonstrate new technologies and evaluation methods. Develop clear explainers, guides, and materials that translate technical work into practical advice for internal stakeholders and organisations. Manage data breach investigations to identify system failures, technical gaps, and possible negligence. Review and understand digital forensic findings, then present clear recommendations to internal stakeholders. [What we are looking for] 3 to 7 years of experience in privacy, data security, software engineering, data science and/or analytics Background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related fields. Knowledge of and interest in emerging technology and cybersecurity threats and trends Advanced technical certifications (e.g., CSPO, CHFI, SANS Cybersecurity, CIPT, CDPSE) would be highly advantageous Fresh graduates with relevant academic background, internships, or project experience are encouraged to apply
