    About this internship

LionsBot builds autonomous commercial cleaning robots, and this internship is about making them more reliable in the real world. You will build the test and evaluation pipeline that takes autonomy changes from simulation to validated runs on our physical robots, and you will own one autonomy feature improvement from design through to release. Key Responsibilities Build and automate a simulation regression suite for the ROS 2 autonomy stack that runs on every release candidate. Design and run real-robot regression tests, and report metrics such as mission success rate, interventions and collisions. Turn real-world failures from rosbags and field logs into reproducible simulation test cases. Own one autonomy feature improvement (perception, localisation, planning or control) from design doc through sim validation to a real-robot release. Debug issues across the stack on physical robots alongside autonomy and field engineers. Document the pipeline and the feature so the team can run and maintain them after the internship. Required Qualifications Currently studying for a Bachelor's or Master's in Robotics, EEE, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, CS or similar; internship must be school-approved. Hands-on ROS / ROS 2 experience on physical robot hardware, in C++ or Python. Working knowledge of at least one of: localisation and mapping, path planning, state estimation, control. Comfortable with Linux and Git, and with debugging using rosbags, RViz and logs. Available full-time and on-site in Singapore for the full internship term (6 months preferred). Nice to have: Nav2, SLAM Toolbox or Cartographer, Gazebo or Isaac Sim, CI / test automation, robotics competition experience.
