What The Role Is
You work within the Engagement and Outreach team and play an active role in helping shape how Defence Executive Officer (DXO) presents itself to prospective candidates and the wider public. You will have the opportunity to see your work come to life across digital and physical touchpoints.
* The Defence Executive Officer (DXO) scheme is a civilian career scheme under the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF). DXOs play a key role in supporting the defence mission of Singapore by contributing to a wide range of functions including policy, operations, HR, finance, communications and technology.
What You Will Be Working On
Support new and ongoing branding and communications initiatives across digital and physical touchpoints
Coordinate project timelines and deliverables with external vendors and internal stakeholders
Develop infographics, posters and other communications materials for internal and external use
Manage job advertisement postings and support improvements to job advertisement content and presentation
Conduct social media and digital content research and benchmarking, and recommend improvements
Support content planning and production, including short-form videos where applicable
Work with the Programme & Engagement Intern on selected events and initiatives, including event publicity, visual materials and post-event content
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about visual storytelling, branding and communications.
- Education in Communications, Mass Communications, Media Studies, Marketing, Visual Communications, Graphic Design or a related field
Proficiency in at least one design tool such as Adobe Creative Suite or Canva
Strong written communication skills in English
Experience with video editing software is a bonus
A portfolio of your work, whether from school projects, personal work or freelance, is required
Proactive and comfortable managing multiple tasks
Ability to work independently with diverse stakeholders.
Period: December 2026, extendable and open for discussion. We are looking for interns who are able to commit to a minimum of 6 months and are open to taking a Leave of Absence.
