About this internship
What The Role Is
You will be interning with the Communications & Customer Engagement (CCE) Department, where we are hiring multiple interns to work on a suite of real, high-impact dashboards.
Each intern will be assigned one key dashboard project, but you will collectively contribute to an integrated ecosystem of dashboards supporting performance tracking, customer insights, and service improvement.
These projects are part of our ongoing efforts to strengthen data-driven decision-making, automate manual processes, and enhance service delivery across CSC.
What You Will Be Working On
You will work on one of the following dashboard projects, depending on your strengths and interests:
1. Performance Dashboard
Develop a centralised dashboard that:
Consolidates CSO performance data from multiple sources
Enables near real-time tracking of team and individual performance
Reduces manual reporting from hours to minutes
Supports data-driven coaching and early identification of performance gaps
2. Customer Insights Dashboard
Develop a centralised dashboard that:
Aggregates learner enquiries and agency needs from multiple sources (e.g. case logs, emails, requests)
Identifies trends, recurring themes, and service gaps
Supports capability building and service improvement initiatives
Enables stakeholders to generate insights through self-service reporting
What We Are Looking For
Collaborate with stakeholders (CX, CIE teams, TLs) to define dashboard requirements and key metrics
Study and integrate data from multiple sources (e.g. system logs, emails, datasets)
Apply Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to ensure clean, reliable datasets
Design and manage database structures to support historical tracking and trend analysis
Build interactive dashboards using Tableau (or equivalent tools)
Develop features such as filtering, segmentation, and automated reporting
Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and refine solutions based on feedback
Support rollout, including documentation, user guides, and training sessions
Open to all polytechnic students and undergraduates.
