About The Team
The Marketplace Intelligence and Data team builds data and AI solutions to support Shopee’s business growth and operational efficiency. Our work spans recommendation and marketing algorithms, intelligent data products, and emerging AI applications.
As part of the team, you will work on Shopee’s AI-powered seller chatbot, leveraging large language models (LLMs), AI agents, and reusable skills to improve seller support, business diagnosis, and operational assistance.
Job Description
Develop and improve LLM-powered chatbot and AI agent solutions for seller-facing scenarios.
Explore agent design, harness engineering, and skill design to improve the reliability, effectiveness, and scalability of AI applications.
Mine and develop reusable AI skills from seller queries, conversation logs, business workflows, and existing knowledge.
Analyze chatbot interaction logs and bad cases, identify failure patterns, and improve prompts, skills, tools, workflows, and agent decision-making.
Explore self-improvement agent approaches that can automatically evaluate, diagnose, and iteratively optimize chatbot capabilities.
Design evaluation frameworks and experiments to measure chatbot quality, task completion, accuracy, and business impact.
Work closely with product managers, business teams, and engineers to understand seller needs and translate them into practical AI solutions.
Requirements
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering, or related fields.
Strong programming skills in Python and good understanding of machine learning and deep learning fundamentals.
Familiarity with LLMs and LLM applications, including prompting, retrieval, tool use, or agent-based systems.
Hands-on experience with modern AI coding agents/tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or similar tools is a strong plus.
Familiarity with concepts such as AI agents, tool calling, RAG, agent memory, skill systems, evaluation, or self-improving AI systems is preferred.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to learn and experiment quickly.
Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with product, engineering, and business stakeholders.
