About this internship
Chief of Staff Intern (CEO Office)
We’re an
early-stage quant fund building institutional-grade fixed-income crypto strategies and ratings infrastructure for fund managers and institutional LPs
. We’re currently a small team with seven to eight figures of committed capital, so execution quality matters a lot.
This role sits in the CEO Office to keep priorities tight, decisions executed, and company operations moving while the founders focus on strategy, product, fundraising, and other founder-only work.
This is a
high-ownership, paid hybrid role
for someone who’s organized, calm under pressure, and can turn chaos into systems.
Key Responsibilities
1) CEO Cadence, Execution & Company Operations (Reporting to CEO office)
Run the company’s operating cadence: priorities, meeting agendas, action items, owners, deadlines, and follow-ups.
Maintain action trackers and decision logs so open loops are visible and nothing important gets lost.
Turn messy issues into founder-ready decision material: short summary, options, trade-offs, recommendation, and decision needed.
Chase internal and external dependencies until they are completed or clearly escalated.
Spot bottlenecks, unclear ownership, and recurring execution problems, then build lightweight processes to fix them.
Protect founder time by taking operational work to completion wherever a founder decision is not required.
Our operating model is:
Wide execution authority. Narrow decision authority.
Founders decide strategy, product, hiring, and fundraising. You make sure those decisions get executed, tracked, communicated, and closed.
2) Company Operations (Finance, People & Internal Systems)
Coordinate budgeting, cash-flow tracking, runway reporting, invoices, expenses, and routine finance operations.
Liaise with accountants, corporate secretaries, lawyers, and other external providers and keep outstanding actions moving.
Maintain clean corporate records, recurring filing deadlines, approvals, and an investor-ready data room.
Coordinate employee contracts, onboarding, offboarding, internal policies, and people documentation.
Maintain Google Workspace, Notion, permissions, folders, templates, and internal information architecture.
Document recurring workflows through simple SOPs, trackers, meeting notes, decision logs, and policies people actually use.
Identify repetitive operational work worth simplifying or automating, including practical AI and agent workflows.
Founder or director approval stays required wherever the underlying decision requires it.
What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days)
Founder has materially fewer open operational loops and fewer things that need chasing.
Leadership meetings run with clear agendas, decisions, owners, and follow-ups.
Company priorities, ownership, blockers, and next steps are always obvious.
Finance, corporate, people, and internal systems are current and organized.
Recurring processes are documented and external providers are managed proactively.
Essentially: when something operational lands on your desk, does everyone trust that it’ll get done? If you prove exceptionally reliable and can take ownership without being chased, there is also
room to grow into broader operating and leadership responsibilities as the company scales
.
Requirements
Currently pursuing a Degree/Diploma in Business, Economics, Management, or a related field; Year 2 and above preferred.
Strong organization and follow-through, able to manage multiple workstreams without dropping details.
Comfortable with spreadsheets, docs, and basic operations workflows.
Clear written communication; you can summarize messy information into clean bullets, tables, trackers, or short memos.
Good judgment about when to act independently and when something needs to be escalated.
Discreet with confidential company, financial, investor, and employee information.
Interest in startups, operations, and fundraising/investor support.
Low-ego about the work: preparing an important founder decision and fixing a broken internal workflow both matter.
Bonus: prior exposure to startups, fundraising, internal corporate functions such as HR, business systems and automation, or finance ops, or cap tables.
