About this internship
About the Internship:
Navo Health is a MedTech startup building an AI-powered fetal monitoring platform for labour wards, currently expanding into the Chinese market. This role will take the lead on the conversations that follow: representing Navo Health, building the relationship, and moving it forward. Business Mandarin fluency and the ability to hold your own in a room with clinicians and industrial partners matter more here than your major.
What you'll be doing:
Work closely with Navo Health's China ecosystem partners to convert sourced introductions into active hospital and manufacturer relationships
Lead outreach and relationship-building conversations (in Mandarin) with hospitals for clinical partnership and data-sharing discussions
Lead outreach conversations with manufacturers/OEM partners on sourcing, supply, and partnership terms
Prepare for and lead first/second conversations arising from partner-facilitated introductions, ensuring Navo Health's story lands clearly with each stakeholder type
Adapt pitch materials for hospital vs. manufacturer audiences
Track conversation outcomes and report which partner channel (Transfong/XNode/Enterprise SG) each relationship originated from
Potential opportunity to travel to China to join the Navo Health team in person for key meetings and relationship-building
Who we're looking for:
Business Mandarin fluency is essential
— able to lead a substantive conversation independently, not translate or assist
Background is flexible — business, medical sciences, engineering, or related fields all welcome
A track record of storytelling: debate, sales, fundraising, public speaking, journalism, or similar — we care more about your ability to hold a room than your major
Comfortable working with external partner organizations as well as internal team members
Willing and able to travel to China if opportunities arise
What you'll learn:
Direct, high-stakes stakeholder management with hospitals and manufacturers in the Chinese MedTech market
How to adapt a single product narrative for clinical vs. industrial audiences
Real exposure to how an early-stage MedTech startup builds partnerships from the ground up, including working alongside ecosystem partners
