Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Client Services & Direct Market Access (DMA) Intern role based in Singapore. The intern will support the Client Services, Execution, and DMA teams in delivering efficient trading and market access services across global financial markets. Responsibilities include supporting onboarding activities, monitoring electronic order execution, and helping ensure orders are routed accurately through trading platforms and DMA infrastructure. The intern will assist with exchange connectivity testing, risk control monitoring, issue investigation, and maintaining documentation and client records. The role also involves coordinating with internal teams to resolve operational issues, supporting communication on trading products and services, preparing reports, and contributing to process improvement and automation initiatives. Under supervision, the intern will gain hands-on exposure to financial markets, electronic trading workflows, trading technology, and client service operations in a fast-paced environment.
Roles and Responsibilities
Support the Client Services, Execution, and DMA teams in delivering timely execution and market access services across multiple asset classes and global markets.
Assist with client enquiries, onboarding activities, account maintenance, and communication regarding trading platforms, products, and services.
Monitor electronic order execution, order routing, exchange connectivity, and daily operations of trading platforms, OMS/EMS systems, and DMA infrastructure.
Help investigate execution, platform, and connectivity issues, coordinating with internal teams to support timely resolution and client service excellence.
Assist in monitoring risk controls, maintaining documentation, preparing reports, tracking issues, and escalating operational risks when required.
Contribute to process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency initiatives while developing knowledge of financial markets, electronic trading, and market infrastructure.
Qualifications
Current undergraduate student or recent graduate in Finance, Economics, Business, Banking, Actuarial Sciences, or a related discipline; applicants from other fields with a strong interest in financial markets are welcome.
Strong interest in financial markets, trading, electronic execution, and client services.
Basic knowledge of or willingness to learn trading products, market structure, derivatives, and electronic trading workflows.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
Proactive, customer-focused, and able to work effectively both independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is preferred; knowledge of SQL, Python, or scripting languages and the ability to support global market hours are advantageous
