As cultural experts, we unlock deeper whys, draw linkages, and go beyond the obvious, literal, trendy to excavate underlying codes, unspoken but ingrained rules, and the intersectional macro context driving choices and behaviours, framing values and mindsets. As strategic consultants, we translate insights and foresights into strategic implications and opportunities. Our deliverables include reports, playbooks, strategic maps, concepts, workshops, with openness to develop new outputs for greater impact and actionability.

THE ROLE
A cultural intern in JUNK is curious, driven, creative, independent, biased to action with strong solution orientation. The individual must be passionate about understanding people and cultures, able to decode data, signals, and trends in a structured and rigorous manner, and translate them into written reports with strong visual impact.
This individual will report to a manager in JUNK.
Key Responsibilities include:
1. Cultural insights gathering - support with research and any intelligence gathering for JUNK internal or client projects. This may include:
Researching and monitoring trends and industry / competitor activities
Identifying threats and opportunities surrounding the business and category
Audience research, including conducting primary fieldwork such a moderation, fieldwork
supervision and note-taking
Analysis and distillation of key learnings and insights
Crafting research reports with clear, structured deck narrative and visualization
Crafting other deliverables, including stimuli for consumer testing, crafting brand or product concepts
Presentation of research findings confidently
2. Project management, including owning and driving operations, project set up, 3rd party partner coordination, data organization and knowledge management
