Design Intern

Asia Insurance Review, established in 1991, is a leading professional publication serving the information needs of insurance practitioners in Asia and globally. From its base in Singapore, it has become a trusted resource for key decision-makers across the insurance industry in Asia. In addition to the publication, the company organises technical conferences to foster dialogue and innovation in the industry. Recognized for driving excellence and professionalism, Asia Insurance Review has also initiated prestigious industry awards, including the Asia Insurance Industry Awards. We are looking for a Design Intern who can start immediately till end of November. Role Description Layout Design: Assist in crafting compelling layouts, feature stories, and decks for both print and digital publications Asset Production: Resize, optimize, and edit images, graphics, and visual elements to fit brand guidelines Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Senior designers, editorial teams and sales team to ensure the visual style matches the text and brand identity Cross-Platform Adaptation: Translate magazine or publication content into visually engaging formats for online applications. Production Support: Prepare files for print (e.g., establishing bleed margins and colour profiles) or build digital PDFs and web stories. Qualifications & Requirements Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (primarily InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator) Design Fundamentals: A solid grasp of typography, colour theory, visual hierarchy, and layout principles Communication Skills: Ability to collaborate with writers and editors, taking constructive feedback and translating it into visual concepts Portfolio: A portfolio demonstrating strong aesthetic judgment and creative problem-solving (student projects are highly acceptable) Organisation: Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced publishing environment
