ROLE PURPOSE
The Digital Strategy Intern supports the PEXAP Digital Strategy Office (DSO) in shaping, communicating, and external benchmarks, tracking digital priorities.
Working closely with the CIO Office across APAC, the intern helps translate strategic ideas into structured materials, such as analyses, dashboards, and executive briefings, to support effective proposal, decision‑making on strategy, portfolio management, and transformation initiatives.
This role provides exposure to regional digital governance, portfolio planning, and executive‑level communications within a large multinational environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Strategy & Research Support
Conduct desk research on digital and technology topics (e.g. cloud, data & AI, automation, cybersecurity) and synthesize insights for internal use.
Support the development and maintenance of strategy items, including initiative one‑pagers, capability summaries, and high‑level roadmap views.
Assist in preparation for strategy workshops by drafting agendas, capturing discussion outcomes, and documenting decisions and next steps.
B. Portfolio, Demand & Value Tracking
Support consolidation of business demands and digital initiatives into a structured portfolio tracker.
Assist with basic portfolio analysis (e.g. effort vs. impact, high‑level cost ranges, dependencies, and risk flags) and prepare summary views for review.
Help maintain Run / Grow / Transform (or similar) segmentation and support investment‑mix and demand reporting.
C. Governance & Operating Model Enablement
Support governance cadences by preparing materials, collating inputs, and tracking actions, owners, and follow‑up items.
Assist in documenting and maintaining key processes and templates (e.g. intake, prioritization, reporting cadence).
Support tracking of KPIs for strategic programs, including status, milestones, risks, and issues, with attention to data consistency and quality.
D. Executive Communications & Stakeholder Support
Draft and refine executive‑ready content, such as talking points, short briefs, and slide narratives, based on provided inputs.
Maintain meeting notes and action logs, ensuring clarity, visibility, and follow‑through.
Coordinate inputs across markets and teams, and help consolidate them into coherent updates and reporting packs.
E. Analytics, Insights & Reporting
Build and maintain simple dashboards or scorecards (Excel, PowerPoint, and/or Power BI where applicable) to visualize initiative progress and portfolio insights.
Support periodic reporting by consolidating input, checking alignment and consistency, and highlighting key changes or issues.
DESIRED PROFILE
A. Education
Undergraduate student or recent graduate in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data/Analytics, or a related discipline.
B. Core Skills
Strong analytical skills with the ability to structure ambiguous problems and synthesize clear, concise insights.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable creating executive‑ready slides and summaries.
Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel (e.g. pivot tables, charts); familiarity with Power BI is an advantage.
High attention to detail, strong follow‑through, and good document hygiene and version control practices.
Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders across geographies, time zones, and cultures.
C. Mindset
Curious about technology and how it enables business outcomes; willing to learn and ask thoughtful questions.
Proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in parallel.
4. Expected Deliverables (Examples only)
Monthly portfolio or status dashboard highlighting progress, key risks, and dependencies.
A curated set of strategy snapshots (initiative one‑pagers) for priority programs.
Executive‑ready update materials (talking points and slide summaries) for CIO / DSO review meetings.
