About this internship
ChatLearning | Singapore | 3–6 months | Unpaid internship
Build with us. Learn by doing. Help shape the future of learning.
What if AI could make learning more interactive, collaborative and meaningful?
ChatLearning is an early-stage venture exploring how conversational AI can transform the way people learn, exchange ideas and build knowledge together. We are developing an AI-powered collaborative learning experience that encourages meaningful participation, supports group discussions and helps make learning more engaging.
We are looking for a curious, analytical and entrepreneurial student to work directly with the founder on real product and business challenges.
This is an opportunity to move beyond case studies and classroom exercises and contribute to the development of an early-stage venture. You will have room to test ideas, challenge assumptions and turn research and insights into practical action.
What you will do
1. Product development and experimentation
Explore new product features, user journeys and ways to improve the learning experience.
Test product functionality, identify usability issues and recommend improvements.
Translate user observations and feedback into actionable product ideas.
2. Market research and competitive intelligence
Research the conversational AI, EdTech and collaborative learning markets.
Analyse competing products, business models and emerging trends.
Identify potential users, market opportunities and ways to differentiate ChatLearning.
3. Business development and partnerships
Identify potential users, institutional partners and strategic collaborators.
Support partnership research, outreach preparation and follow-up.
Help develop presentations, proposals and materials for stakeholder engagement.
4. Strategy and execution
Work with the founder to evaluate ideas and prioritise initiatives.
Turn research findings into clear recommendations and practical next steps.
Take ownership of agreed projects and present your findings and recommendations.
What we are looking for
Singapore Citizen or PR only
Currently enrolled in a local university (e.g. NUS, NTU, SMU, SUTD, SUSS)
Based in Singapore for the duration of the internship
Strong analytical thinking, structured problem-solving and intellectual curiosity.
Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesise information into concise, useful insights.
Comfortable working independently, asking questions and navigating ambiguity.
Genuine interest in AI, technology, education, product development or entrepreneurship.
Willingness to take initiative, test ideas and learn from feedback.
Experience in startups, product management, market research, business development or AI tools is an advantage, but not a prerequisite. We value demonstrated initiative and the quality of your thinking over an impressive résumé.
What you will gain
Founder-level exposure:
Work directly with the founder and understand how an early-stage venture makes decisions.
Real ownership:
Contribute to defined product, research and business development projects.
Cross-functional experience:
Gain practical exposure to product thinking, market validation, strategic partnerships and venture building.
AI and EdTech experience:
Explore how conversational AI can support collaborative learning and knowledge development.
A portfolio of work:
Build tangible project outputs and learn to communicate your findings and recommendations professionally.
Internship details
Duration:

Singapore, with in-person and hybrid arrangements to be discussed.

How to apply
Please submit your résumé and a short note addressing these three questions:
What interests you about ChatLearning and the intersection of AI and learning?
Tell us about a project, initiative or problem you took the initiative to solve. What did you do, and what did you learn?
If you joined ChatLearning, what is one product improvement or growth opportunity you would explore first, and why?
A concise response is perfectly fine. We are interested in how you think, not how long you can write.
If you are curious, resourceful and excited by the opportunity to help build something from the ground up, we would like to hear from you.
