Job Description
As an ESG Business Development Intern, you will support the growth of ESGpedia across Southeast Asia. This internship is ideal for undergraduates or postgraduates who are interested in ESG, sustainability, business development, or data-driven work.
You will gain exposure to lead generation, client engagement, onboarding processes, and ESG-related research, working closely with the Business Development team.
Job Responsibilities
You will be responsible for business development activities and initiatives such as, but not limited to:
Lead Generation & Client Networking
Assist with identifying leads, prospects, and potential partners
Support outreach efforts through email, LinkedIn, events, and industry engagements
Participate in networking sessions, workshops, and conferences to represent ESGpedia
Support for Client Engagement & Onboarding
Assist the BD team in client meetings, demos, and follow-ups
Support onboarding activities, including preparing materials, compiling documents, and coordinating with clients
Help prepare client proposals, presentations, reports, and basic data-related tasks
Work with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery of client requirements
Research & Ad-Hoc Support
Conduct research on ESG trends, regulations, reporting frameworks, and competitor landscapes
Prepare internal briefs and summaries for the BD team
Assist on ad-hoc tasks
Ideal Candidate
Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma/degree in Business, Finance, Sustainability, Environmental Studies, Economics, or related fields
Interest in ESG, sustainability, and data-driven technologies
Strong communication and organisational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint and Excel)
Self-motivated, proactive, and willing to learn
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
