About the role
As an ESG & Sustainability Intern, you will support Industrious’ sustainability initiatives across carbon reporting, ESG certifications, and policy alignment. This is a hands-on, project-based role involving cross-functional coordination across APAC and North America.
You will work closely with our People Experience, Finance, Operations, and Sustainability teams, and liaise with counterparts across APAC and at Industrious, North America.
You will report to the Director of Operations, and work closely with the Sustainability Officer for Industrious.
What you’ll do
Carbon Reporting & Systems Integration
Support the onboarding of Industrious onto the Unravel Carbon reporting platform.
Map and document data flows between Unravel Carbon and Coupa (accounting/procurement platform)
Assist in defining integration requirements, data ownership, and reporting processes
Support initial data validation and reporting readiness
Sustainability Policies & Standards Alignment
Review and assess Industrious’ existing sustainability and workplace policies
Propose updates to align with sustainability standards such as WELL v2 and BCA Green Mark Healthier Workplace
Support implementation, planning, policy rollout, internal communications and training materials, as well as site-level readiness
Assist with audits and documentation across existing Industrious sites regionally
ESG & Certification Gap Analysis
Conduct gap analyses across all existing Industrious sites to assess readiness for ESG certifications such as WELL v2 and BCA Green Mark Healthier Workplace
Identify required actions, cost implications, and operational changes
Prepare clear, structured findings and recommendations for management review
B Corp Readiness Assessment
Review B Corp certification requirements across all five impact areas and assess Industrious’ current performance against B Corp standards
Identify gaps, quick wins, and longer-term strategic initiatives
Support the development of a BCorp readiness roadmap
Who you are
Requirements
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Sustainability, Environmental Studies, Business, Real Estate, Engineering, or related fields
Familiarity with Carbon accounting or ESG reporting, WELL, Green Mark, B Corp, or similar frameworks preferred.
Proficient in productivity suites.
Qualities
Able to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Have strong organisational and planning skills
Structured, analytical thinker with attention to detail
Comfortable working with data, documentation, and systems
Good verbal and written communication skills; confident interacting with vendors, speakers and cross-company teams at all different levels of seniority
Self-starter with a good attitude towards learning
