The Global Fintech Institute (GFI) is seeking an organised and people-savvy Events & Community Intern to join our team on-site at 80RR. You’ll support the end-to-end execution of GFI’s key touchpoints with our community — from monthly webinars to private roundtables including GFI Webinars with Fintech and policy leaders, closed-door industry roundtables and masterclasses, and in-person and hybrid events across the region.
Note:
This is a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) position.
Responsibilities
Event Planning & Coordination
Support logistics and scheduling for webinars, roundtables, and community events
Set up Zoom, Luma registration pages, and speaker WhatsApp groups
Send and follow up on speaker invitations and onboarding forms
Speaker & Guest Management
Draft and update speaker briefs, agendas, and session materials
Ensure timely communication with speakers and moderators pre-event
Coordinate internal calendars and reminders for upcoming events
On-the-Day Execution
Support live event moderation (chat/Zoom), tech checks, and attendee tracking
Ensure recordings, screenshots, and visuals are captured
Troubleshoot in real-time to ensure smooth execution
Post-Event Reporting
Assist in preparing LinkedIn recaps, post-event reports, and photo uploads
Update HubSpot and internal databases with attendee records
Coordinate internal debriefs and feedback forms
Requirements
CFtA / CFtP Preferred
Passionate about Fintech, events, and building engaged communities
Currently pursuing a degree/diploma in Business, Communications, Events, or related field (graduates also welcomed to apply)
Great at multitasking, staying on top of details, and managing timelines
Familiarity with tools like Zoom, Luma, Notion, Google Slides, WhatsApp, and Canva
Bonus: Video editing, photo curation, or live social posting skills
Friendly, proactive, and comfortable working across teams and speakers
