As part of the Gas Power One Field Services team, FieldCore installs, maintains, and upgrades power generation equipment, enabling operators of the world’s energy infrastructure to provide more reliable and affordable energy.
Job Summary
The Intern will support the Field Operations team by assisting in the logistics, administrative coordination, and project support essential to executing turbine and generator outage projects. Under the guidance of experienced FSCs and FSOM, the intern will learn the fundamentals of global travel logistics, resource management, and internal operational systems. This role serves as an introduction to the lifecycle of field service projects, requiring a high degree of organizational skill, clear communication, and attention to detail.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Travel & Logistics Coordination: Assist in the end-to-end mobilization and demobilization of field crews, including flight, hotel, and car reservations. Support complex bookings for craft labor and provide support to "self-bookers" for travel-related issues.
Operational Support: Support field staff with inquiries regarding travel requirements, immigration documentation, and internal HR/system processes. This includes managing and tracking technical training records, verifying site pre-requisite documentation, and ensuring all personnel are compliant with safety and access requirements prior to mobilization.
Project Administration: Assist in project setup within internal systems and provide support for system updates as requested by FSOM.
Vendor & Stakeholder Engagement: Assist FSOM and senior FSCs on outage forecasting and service requirements.
Communication & Collaboration: Participate in "boardwalk" calls with Outage Managers, Resource Managers, and fellow FSCs globally to maintain alignment on project status.
Financial & Compliance Support: Assist in the reconciliation of company credit cards used for craft bookings and support general office administrative duties.
Process Improvement: Assist the FSOM with research and process simplification projects to improve operational efficiency.
Field Support: Provide remote and on-site communication support to the FieldCore team during major outages or segment conferences/training events.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with internal departments (Immigration, Finance, etc.) to ensure adherence to home office regulations and operational compliance.
Ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignments
Travel may be required

Required Qualifications & Experience
Students pursuing engineering major (Chemical, Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, Software, Systems), Business Administration, Operations Management, and Supply Chain and Logistics
Open to current students who will be returning to their in-class studies upon the completion of the work term
English proficiency required
