Finance & Accounting Intern (Japanese Speaking)

Your Job Finance & Accounting Intern, able to commit on full-time basis for at least 3 to 6 months. Our Team The Singapore Accounting Team supports finance and accounting activities across the APAC region. As an intern, you will be part of a collaborative and supportive team, working alongside experienced finance professionals to gain practical exposure to accounting operations, financial reporting, and business partnering within a global organisation. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to apply your academic knowledge in a real-world setting, develop valuable finance and accounting skills, and gain insight into how finance supports business decisions across the region. What You Will Gain Hands-on experience supporting a regional finance function across multiple APAC markets. Exposure to accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance processes. Opportunities to collaborate with experienced finance professionals in a multinational environment. Practical experience with finance systems, reporting tools, and business processes. Development of analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Greater understanding of how finance supports strategic business decisions and operational excellence. What You Will Do Support month-end close activities, including account reconciliations and financial reporting tasks. Maintain finance documentation and assist in ensuring compliance with record retention requirements. Review invoices, purchase orders, approvals, and accounting classifications to ensure accuracy and completeness. Assist with data collection, reporting, and basic financial analysis to support business and operational needs. Contribute to day-to-day finance operations and provide administrative support across various accounting processes. Participate in process improvement initiatives and support ad hoc finance and accounting projects. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in: Accounting, Finance or Business Administration Proficiency in spoken and written Japanese is required to support communication with Japanese-speaking stakeholders. What Will Put You Ahead Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, sorting, filtering, and pivot tables. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Good organisational, analytical, and time management skills.
