Job Description As a Finance Group Controllership Intern at NCS, you will gain hands-on exposure to group-level finance operations in a large technology organisation. You’ll be part of a major finance transformation initiative and work closely with finance and audit teams, learning how financial systems, reporting, and controls come together in practice. This role is ideal for students interested in accounting, finance transformation, and how technology is used to improve financial reporting and governance. Impactful Project You will support a key finance transformation initiative to implement a new AI-powered consolidation system. Your involvement will include supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by helping to design, execute, and analyse business and accounting scenarios to ensure the system meets reporting, compliance, and operational requirements. You will also gain exposure to core finance operations by: Supporting the preparation and finalisation of financial statement Assisting in audit coordination and responding to audit queries Contributing to finance process automation initiatives by providing ideas and hands-on support to improve efficiency and accuracy What you will learn How group financial consolidation and reporting are performed in a large organisation Practical exposure to finance system implementation and UAT process Basics of audit coordination and financial controls How automation and data analysis can improve finance operations Professional communication and collaboration within finance teams and with auditors Your responsibilities Support UAT activities for the new consolidation system, including test case preparation and result analysis Assist with financial statement preparation and audit-related tasks Help document processes, findings, and improvement opportunities Support automation and process improvement initiatives within the finance team Participate in team discussions and present progress or findings when required Qualifications Soft Skills Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Good problem-solving and analytical thinking skills Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders Technical Skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Basic accounting knowledge (e.g. financial statements, journals, consolidations) Interest in finance systems, data, or automation is an advantage Additional Information We are driven by our AEIOU beliefs—Adventure, Excellence, Integrity, Ownership, and Unity—and we seek individuals who embody these values in both their professional and personal lives.
