Finance Intern - Brokerage Firm
We are seeking a Finance Intern to support the Finance and Risk team in daily financial reporting, capital monitoring, and brokerage operations. The intern will gain exposure to trading operations, regulatory reporting, and capital adequacy monitoring within a regulated securities firm.
Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis
Assist in preparation of monthly management accounts
Support revenue reconciliation (commission, margin interest, fees)
Perform expense tracking and variance analysis
Capital & Liquidity Monitoring
Assist in monitoring regulatory capital ratios (e.g. FRR/TRR)
Track margin financing exposure
Support stress testing and liquidity analysis
Update capital dashboards and risk reports
Operations & Reconciliation
Perform client money reconciliation
Support settlement account monitoring
Assist with clearing house margin tracking
Regulatory & Compliance Support
Assist in MAS reporting requirements
Support audit preparation
Maintain documentation for regulatory reviews

Requirements
Requirements
Undergraduate in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline
Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, basic modelling)
Understanding of financial statements
Strong attention to detail
Interest in capital markets / brokerage business
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
Knowledge of margin financing
Basic understanding of capital adequacy frameworks
