Together with its parent company, Metaverse Green Exchange Pte. Ltd. (a MAS-licensed CMS holder permitted to carry out, inter alia, brokerage and custody services), MetaComp introduces its suite of services through CAMP (Client Assets Management Platform) which allow businesses to develop and scale their digital asset offerings through various products and/or services such as over-the-counter transactions, fiat payments, digital asset custody and prime brokerage.
Role Overview
The Financial Institution Fiat Partnerships Manager will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, onboarding, and managing strategic fiat banking and payment partnerships that support MetaComp's payment products globally.
This role requires a strong understanding of correspondent banking, domestic payment rails, cross-border payments, safeguarding accounts, settlement infrastructure, virtual accounts, and treasury operations. The ideal candidate possesses an extensive network within banks and payment institutions across Asia and global markets and is experienced in navigating financial institution due diligence and partnership negotiations.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Institution Partnerships
Build and execute MetaComp's global financial institution partnership strategy.
Identify, evaluate, negotiate, and onboard banking partners across multiple jurisdictions.
Develop relationships with:
Commercial banks
Correspondent banks
Payment Service Providers (PSPs)
Electronic Money Institutions (EMIs)
Licensed Payment Institutions
Local clearing partners
Settlement banks
Expand fiat payment capabilities including:
Local collections
Local payouts
SWIFT
Faster Payments
SEPA
FPS
FAST
ACH
Wire transfers
Virtual IBANs
Named virtual accounts
Drive partnerships that improve:
Coverage
Settlement speed
Cost efficiency
FX capabilities
Treasury optimization
Partnership Development
Lead commercial discussions and partnership negotiations.
Structure partnership commercial models and pricing.
Coordinate legal, compliance, operations, treasury, and product teams during partner onboarding.
Negotiate service levels, settlement models, operational processes, and commercial agreements.
Manage ongoing executive relationships with strategic financial institution partners.
Bank & Partner Onboarding
Coordinate bank due diligence processes.
Prepare onboarding documentation including:
Corporate information
Licensing information
AML/CFT policies
Business models
Financial statements
Compliance questionnaires
Work closely with Compliance during enhanced due diligence reviews.
Coordinate internal stakeholders throughout onboarding until go-live.
Product & Commercial Collaboration
Partner closely with Product and Operations teams to launch new fiat capabilities including:
Local payment rails
Global collections
Treasury services
Multi-currency accounts
Virtual accounts
Merchant settlement
Stablecoin off-ramp and on-ramp infrastructure
FX settlement
Corporate payment solutions
Provide market feedback to Product teams regarding new financial institution capabilities.
Relationship Management
Serve as the primary relationship manager for strategic banking partners.
Conduct quarterly business reviews.
Monitor partnership performance and service levels.
Resolve commercial and operational issues.
Identify expansion opportunities across existing partners.
Market Intelligence
Monitor developments across:
Banking infrastructure
Global payment networks
Instant payment systems
Open Banking
Cross-border payment innovations
Stablecoin settlement
Correspondent banking trends
Regulatory developments affecting payment infrastructure
Provide strategic recommendations to senior management.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Banking, or related discipline.
5–8 years of experience in:
Banking partnerships
Financial institution partnerships
Banking business development
Treasury partnerships
Payment infrastructure partnerships
Experience working in:
Fintech

Strong understanding of:

Experience negotiating commercial agreements with financial institutions.
Familiarity with AML/CFT, KYC/KYB, payment regulations, and financial institution onboarding.

Ability to manage multiple strategic partnerships simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
Existing network across banks, payment institutions, EMIs, and financial infrastructure providers in Asia Pacific.
Experience with MAS-regulated payment institutions or digital asset companies.
Knowledge of digital payment token (DPT) ecosystems and stablecoin settlement.
Experience supporting embedded finance, Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS), or API-based payment infrastructure.
Exposure to multi-jurisdiction financial institution onboarding and regulatory environments.
