Job title – Flavor – Beverage Intern
Location – Tuas, Singapore
The purpose of this internship is to support the Senior Application Technologists in day-to-day laboratory and application activities, contributing to the development of innovative beverage solutions that meet customer needs and drive beverage application success.
Your Key Responsibilities
Prepare beverage prototypes across a range of applications, including carbonated drinks, juice drinks, sports, energy and functional beverages, coffee, tea, alcoholic beverages, and powdered drinks, based on customer project briefs
Apply flavors and relevant processing conditions to develop beverage prototypes that meet project and customer requirements
Ensure the consistency and quality of beverage prototypes by measuring key physical and chemical parameters using laboratory instruments such as refractometers, acid titrators, and carbonation testers
Conduct physical stability evaluations (e.g., clarity, solubility, and phase separation) of flavored beverage prototypes under various storage temperatures and conditions
Support sensory evaluation sessions and assist in the preparation of bulk samples for flavor stability testing in finished beverage applications.
Collaborate with the Applications team to develop innovative beverage prototypes for customer presentations, innovation days, and other business initiatives

You Bring
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, Nutrition, or a related discipline
Basic knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) with a strong commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment
Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage tasks effectively while meeting scheduled timelines and evaluation deadlines
Willing to learn and operate beverage processing and packaging equipment (e.g., carbonator, canning machine, high-shear mixer), with basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, file sharing, and photo/video documentation
Passionate about beverage innovation, with good observation and sensory evaluation skills, a positive mindset, creativity, adaptability, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a multicultural team
Proactive, hands-on, and eager to take initiative while contributing effectively in a fast-paced laboratory environment
