As a Strategy and Network Modeling Intern, you will support the design and development of a simpler, cost-efficient, resilient, and sustainable end-to-end supply chain. You will conduct data-driven analyses, evaluate supply chain strategies, and develop recommendations to address complex challenges such as geopolitical disruptions and changing market conditions. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence strategic supply chain decisions and contribute to shaping the future of Schneider Electric's global supply chain network.
What will you do:
Develop dashboards and visualizations to improve end-to-end supply chain visibility, identify bottlenecks, and support data-driven decision-making.
Conduct Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analyses by evaluating transportation, warehousing, production, inventory, and service-level costs to support strategic recommendations.
Build and optimize supply chain network models using Supply Chain Guru (SCG) to assess different scenarios and evaluate cost, service, and sustainability trade-offs.
Support network design projects through data preparation, scenario modeling, sensitivity analyses, and presentation of insights to stakeholders.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve data issues, validate model assumptions, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Document methodologies, assumptions, and analytical findings to promote transparency, consistency, and knowledge sharing across the team.
Explore opportunities to automate processes and enhance analytics capabilities using tools such as Python, Power BI, and SQL.
Contribute to strategic supply chain initiatives by providing analytical insights and recommendations to improve network efficiency, resilience, and sustainability.
What qualifications will make you successful:
Pursuing a degree in Business (Business Analytics, Finance, Marketing, HR), Data Science, Statistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Strong analytical and data management skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience using SQL and/or Python to analyze and validate large datasets.
Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau to create dashboards and communicate insights effectively.
Basic understanding of supply chain concepts, including network design, logistics, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis.
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive learning mindset, with the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
