We are looking for interns to join the International Group for our January to June 2027 internship cycle . Scope of Work As part of the International Group in IMDA, the Asia Tech x Programme Office organises the annual Asia Tech x Singapore (ATxSG) event, which brings together change-makers and thought leaders from government and industry to explore how technology can drive positive change. You will be joining a dynamic team that conceptualises, develops and executes the ATxSummit and ATxInspire series, which includes engagement of Political Office Holders (POHs), MDDI Senior Management Team, IMDA Board Members and IMDA EXCO with Industry Leaders and Foreign Government dignitaries. Your duties will include but is not limited to the following: Develop the consolidated engagement collaborative document for MDDI political office holders, IMDA senior management and Board members. Coordinate with programme owners to gather and verify information on proposed engagements, including the engagement objectives, participating organisations, seniority of representatives and expected outcomes. Be the main point of contact for anything engagement related and liaise directly with appointed Liaison Officers and PAs of the POHs etc. Work closely with MDDI partners (CED and DEO) to track the status of engagement requests, confirmations, changes and follow-up actions. Identify scheduling conflicts, information gaps and dependencies, and work with the relevant teams to resolve them. Assist in coordinating internal clearance and approval processes for proposed engagements including submission to management and Minister Participate in selected internal coordination meetings and capture key decisions, action items and follow-up requirements. Support the Planning Team during ATxSG 2027 by monitoring schedule changes and ensuring that the latest engagement information is communicated to relevant stakeholders. Conduct a post-event review of the engagement planning process and recommend areas for improvement for future editions of ATxSG. Learning Outcomes Gain an understanding of how a major international technology event is planned and coordinated across multiple teams and stakeholders. Gain practical exposure to senior-level government and industry engagement planning. Gain hands-on experience in coordinating across internal teams, government agencies and external partners. Strengthen written communication skills through the preparation of briefs, updates, reports and presentation materials. Develop confidence in communicating with colleagues at different levels of seniority. Learn how to identify operational gaps and recommend practical process improvements. Skills Required Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Business, or related field. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint or other collaborative work platforms would be advantageous. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Comfortable engaging and coordinating with colleagues across different teams and levels of seniority. Able to exercise discretion when handling sensitive information. Adaptable and able to respond calmly to changing requirements and schedules. Strong sense of responsibility and willingness to take ownership of assigned tasks.
