Kick-start your career in Procurement with a role that offers real responsibility and meaningful learning. We are seeking a motivated and analytical Indirect Procurement Intern to support the East Asia Indirect Procurement team in managing indirect spend categories, driving sourcing initiatives, supplier performance tracking, spend analysis, and procurement process improvements.
This internship offers hands-on exposure to strategic sourcing, supplier management, procurement operations, spend analytics, sustainability initiatives, and stakeholder engagement within a dynamic multinational environment. The intern will work closely with procurement professionals and cross-functional stakeholders while contributing to projects that support business growth, productivity, and operational excellence.
What will you do:
Procurement & Sourcing Support
Assist in executing sourcing and procurement activities across indirect spend categories such as Professional Services, Marketing, Logistics, Facilities Management, Travel, ICT, and Corporate Services.
Support the preparation of Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Quotation (RFQ), and Requests for Proposal (RFP).
Participate in supplier sourcing, market research, benchmarking, and supplier evaluations.
Support contract administration and documentation activities in compliance with company policies and governance requirements.
Coordinate supplier communications and collect quotations, proposals, and supporting documentation.
Spend Analytics & Reporting
Analyze procurement spend data to identify opportunities for savings, supplier consolidation, and demand management.
Support the preparation of procurement dashboards, reports, and KPI tracking.
Assist in maintaining procurement databases, supplier records, and sourcing project trackers.
Conduct market intelligence research and present findings to procurement team members.
Supplier Management
Assist in maintaining supplier information and preferred supplier lists.
Support supplier performance monitoring by collecting stakeholder feedback and supplier performance data.
Participate in supplier review meetings and prepare meeting minutes and action trackers.
Assist in tracking supplier compliance requirements and audit follow-up activities.
Stakeholder Engagement
Provide day-to-day support to internal stakeholders on procurement processes, tools, and systems.
Assist in organizing procurement awareness and training sessions.
Coordinate with business functions to gather sourcing requirements and procurement data.
Process Improvement & Sustainability
Support procurement transformation and digital adoption initiatives.
Assist in identifying opportunities for process simplification and standardization.
Contribute to ESG and sustainability-related procurement initiatives, including supplier sustainability assessments and green procurement reporting.
Participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance procurement efficiency and user experience.
What qualifications will make you successful:
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to solve complex business problems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis, reporting, and presentation development.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
Detail-oriented, curious, and eager to learn procurement, sourcing, and supply chain best practices.
