Internships will start in January 2027. Students who can commit full-time will be preferred. Join us as an Industrial Automation Technical Intern to make an impact! Location: Kallang Ready to kick-start your career in Industrial Automation? Join Schneider Electric's Industrial Automation team and gain hands-on experience supporting technical pre-sales activities and solution development. You'll work with Modicon PLCs and EcoStruxure Automation Expert, contributing to customer simulations, documentation, and internal tecnical reviews. What will you do? Gain hands-on experience with Modicon PLCs (M580, M340, Edge I/O), programming tools such as Control Expert, and EcoStruxure Automation Expert through structured training, technical learning, and shadowing of internal presentations. Configure PLCs for demonstrations and simulations, and perform testing of PLC logic, I/O modules, and communication protocols, including Modbus TCP. Create and maintain technical documentation, including datasheets and specifications, and assist in the preparation and review of Bills of Materials (BOMs) for customer proposals. Support project activities by contributing to system architecture reviews, hardware validation, and participating in internal reviews and customer meetings to gain exposure to solution development processes. Learn fault diagnosis techniques for Modicon systems and assist with troubleshooting activities during test bench testing and field simulations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams across sales, engineering, and technical support, while sharing project updates, progress, and key insights during regular team meetings and huddles. What qualifications will make you successful? Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline, with an interest in industrial automation, control systems, and digital technologies. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and contribute in a hands-on technical environment.
