Intern – Fragrance Delivery System Microencapsulation Location: 1 Pioneer Turn Department: Delivery System (Pilot Plant lab for microencapsulation) We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated intern to join our microencapsulation team. The intern will assist in research and development projects focusing on fragrance encapsulation technologies , supporting the team in developing innovative delivery systems for fabric care applications. Key Responsibilities Assist in the formulation, preparation, and characterization of fragrance microcapsules. Conduct laboratory experiments including emulsification, polymerization, or encapsulation trials under supervision. Perform stability and release studies to evaluate encapsulation performance. Support analytical testing of encapsulated and free fragrance materials using techniques such as pH, particle size analysis, viscosity, or microscopy. Participate in data recording, result analysis, and technical documentation to support project reports. Maintain good laboratory housekeeping and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards. Collaborate with the team in exploring sustainable and novel encapsulation materials (e.g., biodegradable polymers, natural carriers). Learning Outcomes Gain hands-on experience in fragrance encapsulation across different scale Understand the interaction between fragrance chemistry and formulation systems. Develop analytical and problem-solving skills in an applied research setting. Learn about the industrailization process in the fragrance and consumer goods industry. Requirements Currently pursuing a Degree/Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Applied Chemistry, Perfumery & Cosmetic Science, or related disciplines. Interest in polymer, chemistry, formulation science, or material science. Basic laboratory skills and good attention to detail. Strong sense of responsibility, teamwork, and initiative. Preferred Skills (Optional) Familiarity with emulsions, polymers, or colloid systems. Experience with instrumental analysis (GC, FTIR, particle size analyzer, etc.) is an advantage.
