Job title Paid Internship - Full- or Part-Time Templeton Research Templeton Research is a partner-led boutique research firm with offices in Singapore, London, Ho Chi Minh City, Vancouver, and Philadelphia. We provide corporate investigations support, qualitative investment research, and integrity due diligence. Our client base includes several of the top 15 largest hedge funds by AUM, multilateral development banks, law firms and corporations. Job description We are looking for candidates to join our Singapore office for a 2-month paid internship, on either a full-time or part-time basis, beginning between early August to end of September. Interns will be remunerated for the duration of the internship with the potential for a permanent offer at the end of the program. In this position, you will get broad exposure to investigative research, report writing and an array of other tasks, which will include: Working directly with partners and senior members of research team, helping them undertake in-depth open-source research into companies, sectors, and topics of interest to our clients. Conduct research in markets across APAC and work on pre-transactional due diligence, shareholder disputes, asset traces, corporate investigations, and bespoke research requests. Serve clients comprising the top 15 hedge funds by AUM and top-tier law firms. Contribute to the development and communication of proposals and advice to current and prospective clients. Support marketing and business development efforts by conducting ad-hoc research. The role will be based at our office in Singapore. Citizens or PRs only. What we are looking for The successful candidate will have a very high standard of written and spoken English and Korean or Japanese. Candidates with fluency in additional Asian languages, including Mandarin, Bahasa Indonesia, Vietnamese, or Thai is a plus. You should be interested in business and politics, have an investigative mindset, be organised and have an excellent eye for detail. An ability to prioritise tasks and work on multiple assignments is also a must. While we are not looking for any particular academic background, candidates with degrees in law, history, languages and other research-intensive subjects are welcome.
