Job Description Join a passionate and dynamic team of oncologists and clinical research coordinators at the National University Health System (NUHS). As an intern, you will play a hands‑on role in supporting real-world cancer research — including clinical trials and retrospective research projects that contribute directly to improving patient care. This internship is ideal for students who are curious, motivated, and excited to learn how scientific research is translated into clinical practice. As part of the research team, you will gain exposure to the full spectrum of clinical research operations. You will learn how clinical studies are designed, implemented, monitored, and evaluated within Singapore’s healthcare system. You will also develop valuable soft and technical skills relevant to careers in healthcare, research, data science, or life sciences. Key Responsibilities You will be guided and trained to support the team in the following areas: 1. Clinical Research Operations Assist in the administration and conduct of oncology research projects. Attend study‑related meetings such as site initiations, monitoring visits, and close‑out sessions. Maintain essential research documents and Investigator Site Files to ensure regulatory compliance. 2. Data & Documentation Complete Case Report Forms (CRFs) and ensure data accuracy. Support data entry, cleaning, and validation for ongoing studies. Trace laboratory and diagnostic reports as required by study protocols. 3. Protocol & Compliance Adhere to ICH-GCP, HBRA, and institutional policies and guidelines. Assist investigators with documentation for adverse events / serious adverse events reporting. Handle patient specimens according to study protocol. Uphold strict confidentiality of research data. 4. Team & Site Support Assist with day‑to‑day study coordination activities. Communicate with investigators, research nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Perform other research‑related tasks assigned to support study operations. Job Requirement: Currently enrolled in a science-related degree (e.g., biomedical science, life sciences, public health, psychology, etc.) Competent in Microsoft Office applications Familiar with basic statistics (advantage) Strong communicators — verbal and written Able to work independently, yet comfortable collaborating in a multidisciplinary team Meticulous, organised, and responsible Able to converse in Mandarin/Malay/Tamil/dialects (bonus but not required) Learning Opportunities Throughout the 6-month internship, you will gain: 1. Experience in Oncology Research Unique exposure to cancer research, including radiation oncology workflows and real clinical trial environments.
