Disney Consumer Products (DCP) is the business segment that brings stories and characters to life through innovative and engaging products and experiences across more than 100 product categories.
About The Team
The Communications & Public Affairs team is responsible for developing and executing strategic communications programmes that support Disney Consumer Products' business priorities across Southeast Asia. This may include media and content creator relations, executive communications, issues management, internal communications, and other storytelling initiatives.
About The Role
This
Communications & Public Affairs Intern
role will gain exposure in the planning and execution of communication strategies and activities, collaborating across various lines of businesses in Disney to deliver communications initiatives across Southeast Asia including Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
The position will provide support on the planning and implementation of a range of external and internal campaigns, and will help coordinate operational workflows across the region to ensure activities are executed effectively.
Responsibilities
Media Monitoring
Monitor, compile and analyse media coverage related to Disney-themed products and activities
Research and report on latest media trends relevant to Disney
Communications Campaigns and Media Relations
Assist in editing and/or creation and pitching of communications materials including press releases, media kits, talking points, and more assets
Support on external engagement activities and events, and help bring them to life
Actively participate and support brainstorming sessions
Support in media relationship management and development
Think creatively to develop new concepts/ideas that can support communications efforts
Internal Communications
Support the planning and implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives
Compilation of monthly highlights
Engage fellow cast members through internal communications channels and activities
Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with other teams within Disney to ensure cohesive integrated marketing and communications efforts
Internship Requirements
Currently an undergraduate pursuing a bachelor's degree/diploma
Still an undergraduate and not yet graduated during the internship period
Must be available for full-time internship commitment (Monday to Friday, 9am-6pm) between January to June 2027
Must be available to work on-site throughout the full period of internship

Requirements
Currently an undergraduate pursuing a bachelor's degree/diploma in Communications, Media, Journalism, or a related field
Knowledge or interest in social media platforms and trends and/or an eye for design is a plus
Interest or fan mentality for Disney, Pixar, Star Wars and Marvel
Highly self-motivated and meticulous with a passion for communications
Ability to adapt quickly to a constantly evolving organization, and to thrive in a fast-paced working environment
Strong team player with a sense of curiosity; possesses good interpersonal skills with a high level of enthusiasm in collaborating in cross functional teams
Self-starter that needs minimal supervision
Ability to prioritize workload to meet competing deadlines and manage stakeholder expectations
Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities
Proficient in MS Office and Keynote
Excellent command of written and spoken English
Ability to utilize media monitoring tools will be a plus
