What The Role Is
Are you interested in how the government plans strategically and embraces digital transformation? This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to contribute to meaningful work at the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY).
The intern will work with the Corporate Planning team within the Strategic Planning and Finance Division (SPFD), supporting the execution of corporate planning events and digital transformation initiatives including the Intranet Refresh and exploration of AI-assisted tools to improve how officers access information. The intern will also support secretariat duties coordinating interagency meetings for high-key projects and other team development tasks.
Through this internship, you will apply problem-solving and project coordination skills, while developing critical thinking and stakeholder engagement capabilities across a diverse range of projects.
What You Will Be Working On
What will you be working on:
1. AI Bot Initiatives
Support the exploration and evaluation of AI-assisted tools for two initiatives:
AI bot to help users navigate the MCCY Corporate Handbook for Companies Limited by Guarantee/Shares (CLGs/CLS).
AI bot to help officers and Parliamentary Office Holders (POHs) easily search for information and facts in MCCY's Committee of Supply (COS) information kit.
This involves researching suitable tools, testing prompts, and evaluating responses using non-sensitive sample content.
2. MCCY-HQ Intranet Refresh
Coordinate appointment of Division representatives involved in the Intranet Refresh.
Interface with project partner for Phase 1 of the Intranet Refresh, i.e. engage site owners and conduct gap analysis of the current Intranet portal.
Design and administer user surveys to identify pain points and challenges faced with the current Intranet portal.
3. Refresh of MCCY Corporate Handbook for Companies Limited by Guarantee/Shares (CLGs/CLS)
Editing/fairing of Handbook content.
Administrative coordination of Handbook update and planned engagements.
4. Corporate Planning Events
Assist with the planning and execution of key events such as Senior Management Advance, Leadership Advance and MCCY Townhall.
Attend pre-event site recce, coordinate administrative/logistical requirements with external vendors and prepare briefing materials ahead of each event.
5. Secretariat Support and Coordination
Provide logistical and secretariat support for interagency meetings tied to high-key projects such as ONE Countdown 2027, including notetaking, transcribing and preparation of presentation materials.
Assist in refining the CountdownGoWhere microsite to be launched at end-year for public navigation of celebratory events related to ONE Countdown 2027.
6. Capability Development
Research and identify opportunities for team development activities such as personal profiling workshops and other programmes that enhance team effectiveness and cohesion.
Coordinate administrative and logistical arrangements for selected team development activities.
The intern will also undertake other projects and tasks as assigned.

Proficient in MS Office Applications
Interest in technological applications and experience in use of AI tools would be useful
