DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES
The intern will work for Marriott’s Talent Acquisition team in Australia, based in the Singapore office to support Talent Acquisition and Talent Management, working with Corporate stakeholders and hotel executive management team within Australia.
The intern will support Marriott’s APEC Talent Acquisition and Management Solutions (TAMS) team, based in the Singapore office, in driving Employer Branding and Talent initiatives across APEC (Asia Pacific excluding China). This role offers hands-on experience in employer branding, talent marketing, and project coordination across a dynamic regional landscape.
Key responsibilities include:
Execute employer brand initiatives on social media or in house events in-collaboration with the markets
Track social media metrics and results related to success of campaigns
Update employer brand page for Marriott Careers Australia and local job boards
Create creatives such as collaterals, videos, social media posts for recruitment and employer branding events
Support Australia team to roll out Corporate Talent Acquisition and Management Solutions initiatives in areas of HR Systems, Recruitment, Human Capital Planning, Employer Branding, and College Relations
Research and maintain candidate pool database to support talent planning initiatives
Generate report, analyze data / metrics and propose recommendations for TAMS metrics
Research latest HR trends on sourcing methods and technology to improve work processes
Organize and participate in regional office associate event
Organize and support regional associate engagement events and internal communications initiatives.
Maintain and update the monthly HR initiatives calendar as part of internal project coordination.
Participate in the review and enhancement of communication content on DLZ (Digital Learning Zone)
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Understand hospitality industry and HR function especially in areas of Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, and Employer Branding
Gain a comprehensive understanding of the hospitality industry and the role of Talent Acquisition and Employer Branding within a global organization.
Learn the end-to-end process of employer branding—from campaign ideation and content development to execution, social media publishing, and performance evaluation.
Develop skills in coordinating regional and global employer brand initiatives, including adapting global strategies for local implementation.
Strengthen written communication skills through drafting newsletters, blog posts, and social media content tailored for different audiences and platforms.
Build confidence in stakeholder engagement by collaborating with cross-functional teams, senior leaders, and external partners across diverse markets.
Enhance project management capabilities through the planning and execution of virtual career fairs, content calendars, and internal HR initiatives.
Apply data literacy by tracking and analyzing employer branding metrics, social listening insights, and candidate experience feedback.
Develop basic creative design skills for formatting campaign visuals and digital content using templates and brand guidelines.
Cultivate adaptability and professionalism in a fast-paced, multicultural work environment.
Apply academic knowledge to real-world business challenges, while exploring learning opportunities beyond the HR function.
Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
We are looking for a university student who is passionate, committed, and keen to establish a career in the Human Resources discipline with the following attributes:
Strong interest in honing creative and marketing skills within the Talent Acquisition and Employer Branding space
Creativity and interest in digital marketing
Familiarity with using major social media platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok etc.)
Ability to learn quickly and excel in a fast-paced environment
Detailed-oriented, structured, and organized
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent command of spoken and written English
Good proficiency in design or video editing software
Good proficiency in PowerPoint
QUALIFICATION STANDARD
Education:
Undergraduate in Marketing, Communications, Human Resources, Business Management preferred
Requirements
Singaporean, Singapore Permanent Resident Holder or valid student pass / work holiday pass
Eligible for undergraduate in a Singapore registered university program / undergraduate or graduate of a university in Singapore, Australia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Switzerland, United Kingdom or United States.
Prepared to commit to a six months’ internship
