Key Duties and Responsibilities
As an Intern, Finance (Tax), you will support the tax team on day‑to‑day tax compliance, reporting, and documentation matters across multiple jurisdictions. This role provides hands‑on exposure to corporate tax, indirect taxes, transfer pricing, and international tax topics, including BEPS‑related requirements, while developing strong technical and analytical skills.
Tax Compliance & Reporting
Assist with preparation of corporate income tax computations and returns under supervision
Assist with preparation / reviewing of indirect tax computations and returns under supervision
Support tax provision and reporting processes (e.g. current and deferred tax schedules)
Assist with withholding tax reviews and tracking
Help compile information for Country‑by‑Country (CbC) reporting and related notifications
Support BEPS / Pillar Two data collection, mapping, and documentation exercises (where applicable)
Transfer Pricing & Documentation
Gather financial and operational data to support intercompany pricing reviews
Research & Advisory Support
Conduct tax technical research on local and international tax matters
Summarise findings and prepare briefing notes or slides for the tax team
Assist with responses to tax authority queries and audits (information gathering, schedules)
Ad-hoc Project Engagement: Assist with and engage in various ad-hoc projects and assignments as needed.
Data & Process Support
Extract and reconcile data from accounting systems and Excel workbooks
Maintain tax trackers, calendars, and documentation files
Support process improvement initiatives and ad‑hoc tax projects
Requirements
Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field in Singapore
Coursework in taxation or accounting is preferred
Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and pivot tables
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
Willingness to learn and gain exposure to multiple areas of taxation
Strong team player with good interpersonal skills
