    About this internship

    We are looking for an Manufacturing Engineering Intern to join our Manufacturing Engineering team in Singapore. In this role, you will work closely with our engineers on manufacturing processes, product improvement, automation and continuous improvement projects. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain practical engineering experience in a high-precision manufacturing environment while contributing to real business and engineering projects. Internship Period: Jan 2027 - Jun 2027 Responsibilities Support the development, implementation and improvement of manufacturing methods, processes and operation sequences for parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies. Work with Manufacturing Engineering to support the introduction and release of new products. Assist in evaluating manufacturing costs, time standards, tooling and process requirements for new and existing products. Maintain manufacturing engineering records, documentation and reporting. Review existing product dimensions and drawings, and develop sketches, concepts and mock-ups for product and process improvements. Develop and implement continuous improvement ideas to improve throughput, efficiency, quality and productivity. Support the design, testing and validation of prototypes to evaluate functionality, usability and manufacturability. Assist in identifying and resolving product and manufacturing issues. Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives focused on reducing waste, cost and errors while improving productivity. Support automation and semi-automation projects, including robotics and PLC-related applications. Requirements Pursuing a Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronic Engineering or a related discipline. Able to read and understand mechanical drawings and schematics. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to research and develop practical solutions. Proficient in engineering/design software such as AutoCAD. Strong computer skills and willingness to learn new technologies. Good communication, presentation and teamwork skills. Curious, hands-on and eager to learn in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Familiarity with PLC programming, machine learning or automation technologies is an advantage. Why Join Ichor?
