Project Title
Defect Inspection Recipe Optimisation for Productivity Enhancement
Project Description
This project focuses on the application of advanced inspection and measurement techniques within a semiconductor manufacturing environment. The intern will explore how inspection technologies are utilised to detect and characterise defects, and how recipe optimisation can improve manufacturing efficiency.
Through this project, the intern will be exposed to the integration of innovative inspection systems and data-driven methodologies to enhance defect detection capability. The work emphasises analytical evaluation of process performance and continuous improvement of inspection strategies.
Objective of the Project
To develop an understanding of defect inspection methodologies in semiconductor manufacturing
To evaluate and optimise inspection recipes for improved process performance
To analyse data from inspection systems to identify opportunities for productivity improvement
Project Scope
Review current inspection and measurement methodologies used in defect detection
Analyse inspection data to evaluate process performance and defect trends
Participate in cross-functional discussions with engineering teams on recipe development
Develop and test optimised inspection recipes under guided project conditions
Evaluate the effectiveness of implemented changes using structured analysis

Courses of Interest
Minimum qualification in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Semiconductor Technology or related engineering disciplines.
