    Job Requisition ID # 26WD100984 Position Overview Autodesk is looking for a Software Development Engineer Intern to work alongside the engineering team on the development, maintenance, and operation of the File System Service. The intern will apply Specification Driven Development (SDD) and agentic AI workflows to develop and enhance service capabilities, including APIs such as GraphQL, while helping to keep the service reliable and operational. The work will include feature development, bug fixing, and addressing technical debt. The intern will also explore and implement agentic AI workflows that help solve engineering and operational problems, accelerate execution, and improve the team’s overall efficiency. Responsibilities Work alongside engineers to develop and enhance capabilities of the File System Service, including API-related features Contribute to the maintenance and reliability of the service, including bug fixing and addressing technical debt Apply Specification Driven Development (SDD) to support the implementation, validation, and verification of software changes Contribute to activities that help keep the service reliable and operational Use and develop agentic AI workflows to automate or accelerate engineering tasks, solve operational problems, and improve development and operational efficiency Identify opportunities where agentic AI can strengthen engineering workflows and implement solutions together with the team Use AI to improve personal productivity in areas such as research, writing, analysis, and software development Collaborate with engineers to deliver production-relevant capabilities and improve the team’s engineering practices Minimum Qualifications Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, graduating in 2027 or 2028 Strong programming skills, preferably in Java and/or Python Strong written and verbal communication skills in English Internship duration: 11 January - 25 June 2027, 6 months full-time (fixed dates) Preferred Qualifications Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to work with complex software systems Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and collaborative environment Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL data stores is a plus Learning Benefits Through this internship, you will have the opportunity to: Gain hands-on experience developing, maintaining, and operating a production-relevant backend service Work alongside engineers on real product features, maintenance work, and operational challenges Apply Specification Driven Development to practical software engineering work Gain experience using and developing agentic AI workflows as part of day-to-day engineering Learn how AI can be applied to solve engineering and operational problems beyond individual productivity Build experience across feature development, bug fixing, technical debt reduction, validation, verification, and service operations Learn More About Autodesk Welcome to Autodesk!
