Project Title
Development of AI-Driven Data Pipeline and Knowledge Framework for Equipment Intelligence
Project Description
Artificial intelligence and data analytics are increasingly being introduced into the semiconductor business to improve engineering efficiency, equipment performance, and decision quality.
In Solid State Drive (SSD) test equipment engineering, valuable information is generated from tester events, equipment changeover activities, troubleshooting records, maintenance history, engineering observations, and improvement projects.
This project aims to develop a structured framework that connects these information sources into a practical digital improvement tool. By integrating diverse data sources, the project seeks to transform equipment-related data into actionable insights that support engineering excellence and business improvement.
Scope of Work
Design and develop a data pipeline to integrate multiple equipment-related data sources (e.g., tester events, maintenance logs, troubleshooting records)
Structure and organize engineering data into a usable knowledge framework
Apply data analytics techniques to extract meaningful insights from equipment data
Identify recurring issue trends, problem patterns, and improvement opportunities
Develop visualization dashboards to present data insights effectively
Explore AI prompting and classification methods to enhance knowledge extraction and usability
Validate insights with engineering use cases and feedback
Deliverables
End-to-end data pipeline integrating multiple equipment data sources
Structured knowledge framework for equipment-related information
Interactive dashboard(s) for data visualization and insight tracking
Analytical insights report, including:
Recurring issue trends
Improvement opportunities
Equipment learning patterns
Action effectiveness evaluation
Documentation of methodology, framework design, and recommendations
Learning Outcomes
The Intern Will Have The Opportunity To
Learn and apply industrial data analytics and data structuring techniques
Gain hands-on experience in dashboard development and visualization tools
Develop knowledge in artificial intelligence prompting and problem classification
Understand semiconductor equipment engineering concepts and workflows
Participate in an end-to-end solution development environment and contribute ideas
Learn from experienced subject matter experts while developing a practical business solution
Required Skillset
Basic knowledge of data analytics and data processing
Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL, or equivalent)
Understanding of data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Interest in artificial intelligence / machine learning concepts
Good communication and collaboration skills
