    About this internship

    What The Role Is The intern will support the development and implementation of an AI Innovation Initiative under Singapore’s ASEAN 2027 Chairmanship. Broadly, this initiative aims to champion “AI for Good” by working with ASEAN Member States, civil society, and leading AI companies to identify regional problem statements, co-develop AI-enabled solutions, which will culminate in a final showcase in the middle of 2027. What You Will Be Working On The intern’s responsibilities will include (but not limited to): o Supporting stakeholder engagements with ASEAN Member States, civil society organisations, companies, and other partners on issues pertaining to the programme. Supporting the development of terms of reference and engagement materials for participating companies, including preparing briefing decks, meeting notes, follow-up emails, and project trackers. Supporting planning for the main event and final showcase, including programme design, speaker and participant coordination, logistics tracking, and preparation of event materials. Assisting with project management and administrative tasks, including budget tracking, timelines, meeting coordination, documentation, and internal reporting. Conducting research on regional AI use cases, AI-for-good initiatives, accelerator models, ASEAN digital economy priorities, and relevant policy or industry developments to support the project team. What We Are Looking For We are looking for interns who are motivated, organised, and interested in the intersection of technology, public policy, international relations, and regional development. Candidates should ideally have: o Strong organisational and project management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage timelines, trackers, and multiple workstreams. Comfort working with diverse stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, civil society organisations, and regional counterparts. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear summaries, decks, briefs, and meeting notes. Good analytical skills, including the ability to assess problem statements, synthesise information from multiple sources, and structure recommendations clearly. An interest in AI, digital technology, innovation, public-private partnerships, or ASEAN/regional cooperation. Prior knowledge of AI is useful but not mandatory.
