Internship / Freelancer - Product Design

MoneySmart is Southeast Asia’s leading personal finance platform, helping consumers across Singapore and Hong Kong find the right financial products and make smarter decisions with their money. We’re at an inflection point: moving from a comparison platform to a genuinely personalised financial companion. Mission We're investing in our Figma component library and design system. You'll work directly with the design team to rebuild and improve components, audit the existing library, and document it so the whole team can use it consistently. Responsibilities Rebuild and restyle Figma components - variants, states, and design token bindings Audit the existing component library to identify inconsistencies, deprecated components, and hardcoded values Document component usage, variants, and guidelines for the design and engineering teams Participate in weekly design reviews and incorporate feedback Requirements Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma/degree in design or a related field Strong working knowledge of Figma: components, variants, auto layout, and styles (variables/tokens) is a plus An eye for visual detail and consistency Organised and methodical - comfortable with structured, repetitive work done well Able to communicate design decisions clearly Nice to have Exposure to design systems or component libraries Basic understanding of how design tokens translate to code What's in It for You Hands-on experience improving a production design system used across the company Experience structuring design tokens that power AI-assisted design workflows an emerging skill few interns get exposure to Close mentorship and direct exposure working alongside a 3-person design team, not lost in a big org A portfolio piece with real shipped impact MoneySmart Culture Values & Tenets The traits we admire are core intrinsic qualities we look for in someone we want on our team, and we look for people who are Hungry, Humble and Smart.
