Play a key role in supporting the growth and performance of OCBC's Unsecured Personal Loans business. As a Portfolio / Education Loans Intern, you'll be part of a dynamic team that manages lending portfolios, develops customer engagement strategies, and drives business growth through data-driven decision-making.
You'll have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in portfolio management, customer analytics, market research, and marketing strategy development while building a strong foundation in consumer banking and unsecured lending products.
How You Succeed
To excel in this role, you'll need to be curious, analytical, and eager to learn about the consumer lending business. You'll work closely with stakeholders across product, marketing, risk, and business teams to analyse portfolio performance, understand customer behaviour, and support initiatives that drive customer acquisition and engagement.
Your ability to interpret data, identify trends, and communicate insights effectively will be key to contributing meaningful recommendations and supporting business objectives.
What You Do Your responsibilities will include:
• Market Research: conduct research on industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer preferences to support business and marketing strategies
• Portfolio Analysis: assist in monitoring portfolio performance, analysing key metrics, and identifying trends that support portfolio growth and risk management objectives
• Customer Segmentation: support the identification and analysis of customer segments based on behaviour, preferences, and other relevant indicators to improve targeting effectiveness
• Marketing Strategy Support: collaborate with business and marketing teams to support the development and execution of campaigns that drive customer engagement and product adoption
• Business Insights & Reporting: assist in preparing reports, presentations, and performance analyses to support business planning and decision-making
• Cross-Functional Projects: participate in projects involving product, marketing, risk, and operations teams to support business initiatives and strategic objectives
• Process Improvement: contribute ideas that enhance operational efficiency, portfolio monitoring, and customer engagement activities
• Ad-hoc Tasks: provide support on other portfolio management, analytics, and business development activities as assigned

Global Consumer Financial Services helps individuals and businesses achieve their financial aspirations through a comprehensive range of banking, lending, and wealth solutions. Within Card Payments & Personal Loans, the Portfolio / Education Loans team is responsible for driving portfolio growth, managing product performance, and developing strategies that meet the evolving borrowing needs of customers.
You'll work alongside experienced professionals across product management, marketing, analytics, and risk functions, gaining valuable exposure to how consumer lending products are managed and optimised within a leading financial institution.
