As a Sustainability Intern, you'll gain valuable exposure to sustainable finance, ESG risk management, and sustainability strategy within a leading financial institution. You'll have the opportunity to develop your research, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills while supporting projects that help clients navigate evolving sustainability challenges and opportunities. How You Succeed To excel in this role, you'll need to be curious, analytical, and passionate about sustainability. You'll work closely with the Sustainability team and stakeholders across the bank to support advisory initiatives, conduct ESG assessments, and contribute to sustainability-related projects. Your ability to analyse information, communicate insights clearly, and stay abreast of sustainability developments will be key to creating meaningful impact and supporting the bank's sustainability ambitions. What You Do Your responsibilities will include: • Sustainability Advisory Support: assist in the preparation of sustainability advisory pitchbooks and client materials for wholesale banking customers • ESG Risk Assessment: support ESG due diligence and sustainability risk assessments for corporate and institutional clients • Sustainability Research: conduct research on emerging sustainability topics, regulatory developments, industry trends, and market best practices • Business Insights: analyse sustainability-related data and information to support client engagements, strategic discussions, and decision-making • Stakeholder Engagement: collaborate with stakeholders across the bank to support sustainability initiatives and advance the Sustainability Office's agenda • Internal Communications: assist in preparing sustainability updates, newsflashes, and educational materials for internal stakeholders • Presentation Development: prepare reports, presentations, and briefing materials to communicate sustainability insights and recommendations • Ad-hoc Projects: provide support on sustainability programmes, strategic initiatives, and other projects as assigned Who You Work With The Sustainability team works closely with businesses and functions across the bank to integrate sustainability into strategy, risk management, financing, and client engagement. You'll collaborate with colleagues across Wholesale Banking, Risk Management, Finance, and other corporate functions to support sustainability initiatives and drive meaningful outcomes. Through this role, you'll gain valuable exposure to how sustainability considerations are embedded into business decisions and financial solutions.
