What You Do
Your responsibilities will include:
Portfolio Analytics: support the monitoring and analysis of ALM portfolios, including Profit & Loss (P&L), issuer limits, PV01, CS01, and other key portfolio risk metrics
Financial Modelling: develop, maintain, and enhance financial models used for portfolio analysis, scenario assessment, and investment decision support
Process Automation: build and maintain VBA- and Python-based tools to improve workflow efficiency, automate reporting processes, and strengthen analytical capabilities
Dashboard Development: create and enhance Tableau dashboards and analytics tools to provide actionable insights on portfolio performance, market developments, and investment opportunities
Data Mining & Analysis: analyse market data, economic indicators, and company financial information to support portfolio monitoring and investment research
Predictive Analytics: support forecasting, trend analysis, and predictive modelling initiatives to identify potential risks and opportunities
Market Research: monitor financial markets and industry developments to generate insights and support the evaluation of trade and investment ideas
Reporting & Administrative Support: assist in preparing management reports, portfolio updates, presentations, and other materials required for business reviews and decision-making
Ad-hoc Projects: provide support on strategic initiatives, data analytics projects, and process improvement activities as assigned
Who You Work With
The Asset Liability Management Portfolio Intelligence Unit supports the management of the bank's investment portfolios through analytics, research, risk monitoring, and data-driven insights. You'll work alongside portfolio managers, treasury professionals, and analysts who oversee balance sheet investments and portfolio risk management. Through this role, you'll gain valuable exposure to portfolio management, financial markets, treasury activities, and the analytical tools that support investment decision-making within a leading financial institution.
Who You Are
Open to learning and feedback
Strong interest in financial markets, economics, and portfolio management
Good understanding of financial modelling and market concepts
Strong analytical and quantitative skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel with experience in VBA and Python programming
Familiarity with Tableau and dashboard development
Knowledge of data analytics, predictive modelling, and forecasting techniques
Comfortable working with large datasets and performing quantitative analysis
Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Detail-oriented with a strong problem-solving mindset
Currently pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree
