Why Join Join a team that plays a critical role in supporting Securities Finance activities within Global Markets. As a Securities Finance Intern, you'll gain valuable exposure to securities lending operations, collateral management, corporate actions, and risk monitoring processes. You'll work closely with team members to support daily operational activities, monitor market events, and contribute to process improvement initiatives. Your ability to analyse information, manage multiple priorities, and leverage technology to automate workflows will help strengthen operational controls and improve team productivity. What You Do Your responsibilities will include: Securities Operations Support: assist with the creation and maintenance of instrument labels within internal systems and track requests through to successful completion Corporate Actions Monitoring: monitor corporate action and dividend events, and support the management of securities lending restrictions arising from these events Fee Reconciliation: perform reconciliations of fee accruals and assist in investigating and resolving discrepancies Margin Management Support: monitor daily margin call activities and assist in ensuring timely and accurate processing Process Automation: identify opportunities to automate manual processes and support the development of solutions that improve efficiency and operational effectiveness Reporting & Analysis: assist in preparing operational reports, tracking metrics, and analysing data to support decision-making Presentation & Documentation: prepare presentation materials, meeting minutes, and documentation to support team discussions and stakeholder engagement Ad-hoc Projects: provide support on operational, technology, and process improvement initiatives as assigned Who You Work With Global Markets provides clients with a comprehensive range of risk management, financing, and investment solutions across multiple asset classes. Within the Securities Finance team, you'll work alongside professionals who manage securities lending activities, collateral requirements, and market event processing. You'll gain valuable exposure to how Global Markets businesses operate and how effective operational controls support financial market activities.
