As an Intern within Treasury Financial Control & Advisory, you'll have the opportunity to deepen your understanding of treasury products, accounting treatment, and financial system processes that support Global Markets activities. You'll work alongside experienced professionals and contribute to initiatives that enhance the accuracy, efficiency, and integrity of Treasury accounting and reporting. How You Succeed To excel in this role, you'll need to be analytical, curious, and eager to learn. You'll work closely with Finance, Treasury, Operations, and Technology teams to support project implementation, resolve operational issues, and ensure accurate accounting treatment for treasury products. Your ability to understand financial concepts, analyse issues, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders will be key to supporting business objectives and delivering successful outcomes. What You Do Your responsibilities will include: Treasury Projects: participate in Global Markets and Treasury-related projects, supporting the implementation and enhancement of accounting processes and financial systems Accounting Schema Support: assist in defining, testing, and rolling out accounting schemas for a wide range of treasury products, including Fixed Income, Foreign Exchange, Interest Rate products, and Derivatives Treasury Application Support: support day-to-day Treasury application activities by investigating issues, analysing root causes, and assisting with resolution efforts Accounting Operations: assist in reviewing accounting entries and supporting manual accounting adjustment postings for Treasury products where required Financial Analysis: analyse treasury transactions and accounting outcomes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting requirements Process Improvement: identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, strengthen controls, and enhance Treasury accounting processes Stakeholder Engagement: collaborate with Finance, Treasury, Operations, and Technology stakeholders to support project execution and business-as-usual activities Ad-hoc Projects: provide support on Treasury accounting, system enhancements, and other strategic initiatives as assigned Who You Work With Treasury Financial Control & Advisory plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial accounting and reporting for Global Markets activities. You'll work alongside finance professionals, treasury specialists, and technology teams who support the accounting and operational processes behind a wide range of financial products. Through this role, you'll gain valuable insights into Treasury operations, financial systems, and the end-to-end trade and accounting lifecycle within a global banking environment.
